HealthCare Professional Referral Information
Chester County Hypnosis works with many health care professionals, physicians, psychologists and counselors to assist their clients in making quick, positive and greatly beneficial lifestyle changes. We have great success in using hypnosis to assist the mind and body in overcoming many of our obstacles to good health.
Since we are not health care professionals, we ask our clients to obtain a medical referral from their provider prior to any sessions to address medical issues. This is usually as simple as a note that signifies the health care professional is aware that you will be seeing Chester County Hypnosis for your issue and advise us of any concerns or considerations.
What types of issues require a referral ?
In general, you will require a referral for:
1) Any formally medically diagnosed condition that you are currently under the care of a physician, psychologist or other licensed health care practitioner for.
2) Any issues regarding pain relief, surgery, major illness or disease, psychological disorders or conditions and conditions such as diabetes, fibromyalgia, arthritis, neuralgia, shingles and post-herpetic neuralgia, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and irregularity, substance abuse or addictions, sexual dysfunctions, phobias, allergies, headaches and/or migraines.
3) If you have any questions regarding our referral policy, please don't hesitate to call and ask.
Our number one priority is always the health and welfare of our clients. While Hypnosis is totally safe and can have wonderful benefits for a wide variety of medical issues, it should never be used to address symptoms of pathological disorders without the knowledge and consent of your health care provider.
This is really a quite easy process and can often be done by phone or fax. As more physicians become aware of the benefits and availability of quality, professional hypnotherapy they are usually very receptive to their clients taking advantage of the benefits. Remember that good health is your job and do not hesitate to request any resources that can help you.

Each client is given a copy of the Client Bill of Rights and asked to read and sign that they fully understand them before any services are performed. The Client Bill of rights provides specific information regarding the protection of our client's personal information and NGH contact information if the client has any questions or concerns.
