Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct

Chester County Hypnosis is accredited by The National Guild of Hypnotists and meets or exceeds every professional and ethical standard and code in place today. However, our most important standard is always the expectations of our clients that they will always be treated with the utmost care, respect and professionalism in every way.

 

Welfare and Safety of Our Clients: Chester County Hypnosis holds the physical and mental well-being of each client as our prime consideration. We provide each client with a Client Bill of Rights that fully outlines our practices and policies regarding Legal, Compliance, Redress, Fees and Confidentiality.

 

Limits of Our Practice:Chester County Hypnosis uses hypnosis strictly within the limits of our training and competence and in conformity with all the laws and guidelines of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any jurisdiction we practice under.

 

Advertising: Chester County Hypnosis is truthful in any advertising.

 

Credentials: Chester County Hypnosis is honest about the nature of their titles, certifications and degrees when presenting them to the general public, the media, and within the confines of the profession.

 

Referred Practice: Chester County Hypnosis will engage in hypnosis work with a client regarding a medical or mental disease only on written referral from an appropriately licensed medical or mental health professional, except when otherwise provided for by law.

 

Reasonable Practice: Chester County Hypnosis will withhold non-referred hypnosis services if a client’s behavior, appearance or statements would lead a reasonable person to believe that the client should be evaluated by a licensed health care professional. We would provide services to such clients only after the evaluation and with the approval of a licensed health care professional.

 

Colleagues: Chester County Hypnosis treats hypnotist colleagues without public defamation.

 

The National Guild of Hypnotists requires its members to conform to the following ethical principles, and shall hold members accountable for any departure from these principles, which may include revocation of membership.

Education and Training: I am fully trained and accredited Certified Hypnotherapist and Certified Instructor of the National Guild of Hypnotists and complete annual continuing education to maintain my training at the highest levels. The National Guild of Hypnotists is the oldest and largest hypnotism organization in the world and its certifications are the most widely recognized and accepted credentials for the professional practice of the hypnotic arts.

Hypnotism is a self-regulating profession and its practitioners are not currently licensed in Pennsylvania.
