Cheek Biting or Oral Frictional Hyperkeratosis and Hypnosis

Oral Frictional Hyperkeratosis or “Cheek Biting” has been something I’ve become aware of in the last few years. Basically, it is chewing, biting or pulling the skin of the insides of your cheeks. Most people who do it think they are unique and do it alone, but many people do it and hypnosis can help them change the habit.

The reason that most people think that only they do it is because it’s an internal habit. If we bite our nails, others can see the effects. when we bite the insides of our mouth, only we know. However, when we do that we create an open wound and some of my clients have said their dentists or doctors have expressed concern that they could develop mouth cancer.

I’m not qualified to make a judgement on that, but I assume it is better that you don’t do it. that is where hypnosis helps. In a short program, we can help you change your life so you don’t do it anymore. It’s as simple as that. when you don’t do something, it really doesn’t matter what the effects are, it really just doesn’t apply anymore.

So, if you do this, call me. Hypnosis helps amazingly well and you don’t have to keep doing this and worry about your health.
